Invest in Canada is looking for a Brand Officer and Graphic Designer to lead the development of creative products and ensure they are aligned with our brand guidelines. Reporting to the Manager of Brand, this role will act as the main point of contact in creative projects and support advertising campaigns.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Primary responsibilities for this role may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Acts as the main point of contact in creative projects between internal/external units,
  • Lead creative insight and creative direction on internally led, branded advertising campaigns, and branded materials.
  • Acts as the functional project lead for creative developments which involves setting up teams, defining roles and responsibilities, creating project schedules, organizing meetings, and ensuring project completion on time and within brand standards.
  • Oversee and provide input on the selection and ongoing partnership with external graphic design agencies.
  • Create and manage the creation of designs that help support and showcase the Canadian value proposition messaging, accurately represent Canada and the IIC brand including for events, internal and external platforms and materials.
  • Manage the revision branded documents prepared by other business units for brand compliancy.
  • Ensures brand guidelines are up to date and include a comprehensive set of brand applications
  • Ensures all creative assets are up to date on the shared platforms.
  • Collaborate and support IIC’s graphic designer.
  • Supports the global advertising campaign development by leading projects and being part of various executional initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Post secondary education in the field of Business, Commerce, Graphic Design, Marketing or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of technical experience.
  • Proficiency using of Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and InDesign
  • Excellent internal & external communication skills (written and oral).
  • Strong organizational, analytical and project management skills.
  • Excellent creativity and innovative skills in all aspects of design and projects.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Strategic thinker and ability to make recommendations while considering the impact on all of IIC’s business units.
  • Experience using AfterEffects (Motion Graphics), Premiere Pro (Video Editing), Web design, UX/UI design is considered an asset.
